Operating System
PZFlex is compatible with four PC operating systems: Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista, Linux Red Hat Enterprise, and Linux SuSe. You needn’t lock into one system at purchase, as all four versions are supplied on a single disk, easily transported between office and home.

Hardware
We recommend a 64-bit operating system combined with 64-bit hardware. Support of 32-bit hardware will be phased out in 2008, except under previously negotiated contracts.

Processors (CPUs)
Two CPUs are supported per PZFlex license (multi-core CPUs count as singles). We recommend purchasing dual cores to benefit fully from the software’s speed and large modeling-size capability. Quad cores add little value over dual cores, as memory speed is essentially the same for both.

Memory
Four gigabytes of memory are more than sufficient, and two are adequate for most modeling applications. Four to eight gigabytes are best for the more complex models common to telecommunications and a few other industries (of course, one can never have enough memory).
